Introducing the Truckmate Bridge-Saver! The essential new tool to protect you from bridge strikes
Meet Bridge-Saver, specifically designed to alert large vehicle drivers to impassable bridges or tunnels, and help to reduce the 2000 bridge strikes that happen each year in the UK. That’s an average of five per day!
At Snooper, we’re firm supporters of the Network Rail ‘Wise up, size up’ campaign, and we noticed that there are no products on the market that offer large vehicle drivers accurate information about whether their vehicle can fit underneath a bridge or in a tunnel.
From here, Truckmate Bridge-Saver was born; the first product designed to provide accurate information about upcoming bridges using GPS.
With Bridge-Saver, users are able to submit the height and width of up to ten vehicles, to be alerted to restricted bridges and tunnels. Perfect if you’re used to driving different trucks.
The 5” LCD touch screen provides a large and clear display, with easy to read instructions. At a glance, the screen shows a clear green signal to indicate that the upcoming bridge is of a safe height for the vehicle to proceed. A red warning shows on the screen when an upcoming bridge is too low for the vehicle to enter. The display also features a speedometer to provide an accurate speed of the vehicle using the internal GPS antenna.
Bridge-Saver can be set to suit the driver and road conditions with user-definable alert distances. You can change the notifications to alert you at the most convenient time for you, should you need a few minutes notice to switch to a different route.
All Bridge-Saver products sold from Snooper offer free lifetime updates as standard, ensuring that your device is always up to date. All Snooper products are powered by Here™ Maps, recognised as the market leading map provider.
