We get it, you’re trying to satiate that adventurous itch…

Not to mention that fresh breeze, carrying whispers of fun times and glorious memories in your new; exciting Camper rig, to make matters worse.

Snooper, just give me a sign! I hear you say. Okay… okay—take a deep breath; we’ve got you covered.

Introduction

The name Unimog may be a new one to some of you, but we assure you this moniker goes back to 1948 with Daimler Truck; formerly Daimler-Benz, acquiring the IP from Boehringer; taking over the manufacture of Unimog in 1951.

Fast forward to 2022, the Mercedes-Benz Unimog U 5030 is a feat of German engineering to behold and a beast of a mobile home platform. Boasting a 7.7L six-cylinder engine, outputting 220 kW (299 hp), with an Earth rotating max torque of 1200 Nm. The common-rail engine belongs to the new generation of state-of-the-art Mercedes-Benz engines which comply with the Euro VI emissions standard.

Happy Campers Making a Home, Where Others Can’t Even Dream of Going

Camping

This is where exclusive comfort and luxury meet uncompromised off-roading exploration, discovery, and expedition. Complimented by a comfortable cab, leather seats with quilted contrast stitching—remind you that this capable camper is still a Mercedes-Benz through and through. With an optional crew cab available, for up to 7 people.

The U 5030 is a highly capable off-road camper, making light work of any location you and the family venture to. Engineered to traverse virtually every hurdle in its path. With an indestructible drive system and chassis concept, it masters mud, scree, and sand as well as snow, ice, and deep riverbeds—even when equipped with individual attachment and body solutions.

The Ultimate Camper

The Unimog with Bliss Mobil body can tackle almost any challenge, despite carrying a small luxury apartment on its shoulders.

When you step inside the Bliss Mobil body for the Unimog, you suddenly find yourself in a luxury apartment. The front panels are made of bamboo and the surfaces are from Corian, whilst the relaxing furniture is covered with high-value textiles. Two roof hatches and five windows ensure a bright interior, while a powerful climate control system and underfloor heating maintain a comfortable room temperature in both the hottest and coldest of climes. The cabin's slightly raised air pressure keeps annoying insects at bay.

The ingenious thing about it is that it has an electronically controlled suspension to allow the bed to stay horizontal even when the Unimog with Bliss Mobil body has been parked in tough off-road terrain. All electronic systems of the Bliss Mobil body can also be controlled using an iPad or iMac.

The kitchen area features an induction hob, oven, microwave, fridge, and freezer – making possible a whole host of culinary delights which globetrotters of times gone by could only have dreamed about. A comfortable couch provides the space you need to enjoy your meal, while a 16-litre boiler delivers hot water for the subsequent washing up and the spacious shower cubicle. Fitted space-savingly beneath the two-metre-high ceiling, the 140 x 200 cm double bed promises a relaxing night's sleep.

Harnessing The Sun

Where do I get my electricity from when I’m in the middle of the wilderness?

Park your Tesla; you’ll need a quick charge for this one!

The engine of the base Unimog charges eight lithium-ion batteries during the journey. Furthermore, four mono-crystalline solar modules on the roof collect the sun's energy. Even water in the desert isn't a problem: the tank cells can store 480 litres of fresh water and 170 litres of rainwater. As an option, Bliss Mobil can supply a water treatment unit. Anyone who would like to experience the exclusive package that the Bliss Mobil apartment and Unimog U 5030 offer can even rent one: Bliss Mobil is currently parking up a small worldwide fleet of travel-ready Unimog vehicles, which can be used for guided tours, and events, or individual holidays.

Four to the Floor.

Featuring permanent all-wheel drive and differential locks on both axles to ensure full-power transmission. This specialised drivetrain provides increased driving dynamics when off-roading and superior handling when travelling. This way you can be sure to move forward even if only one wheel has sufficient traction. This enables Unimog to tackle gradients of up to 100 %.

With a flexible torsional frame, portal axles, three differential locks, TireControl Plus (central tyre inflating system), and all-wheel drive. All of which allow you to overcome any off-road terrain.

Setting the right tyre pressure for the task at hand is conveniently carried out at the push of a button on the display. The driver has the choice between Manual control, or the three pre-configured modes "Road", "Sand" and "Rough". The tyre pressure is then automatically adjusted. Meaning the Unimog can be driven with low tyre pressure on the loose substrate, from sand to mud; therefore, has a greater tyre contact area. This leads to better traction and less slipping, or more economical, safer driving when on-road and the tyres are set at higher pressures with a smaller surface area.

Go a Step Further.

Supercharge your drive with a bespoke experience from the Snooper Ventura S6900. Once secured with the active magnetic mount, simply use your seven-inch touchscreen to enter your Unimog’s dimensions and environmental settings to create routes that avoid height, width, and weight restrictions. With more than 31,000 campsite points of interest and free lifetime map updates, it’s the perfect camping companion.

Other features include vehicle profiles, route timer, premium traffic management content, and a speed limit monitor.

Not even water can't hold you back; the Unimog U 5030 can ford through water up to 1.20 m deep. You won’t find another camper able to compete with the Unimog.

Scared Shiftless

Shift gears at your pleasure.

Two drive programs help reduce your workload: in automatic mode, "A"—whilst considering the load, accelerator position, engine operation, climbs/inclines, and the engine brake—the drive program handles gear changes and clutch operation entirely. However, if it becomes necessary for the driver to manually change gear using the multifunction lever, this is also possible.

Complete control is offered by the "M" drive program (manual). Here, gear selection is also made using the multifunction lever. The driver determines the gear, and the clutch operation occurs automatically.
