What they do? : - Face the front of vehicles and if speeding, a photo with details of offence embedded is taken then processed through to intended notice of prosecution.

Technology: - Piezo strips implanted in road surface to calculate speed.

How to Locate/Detect: - location via a GPS database.

What they do? : - Face the rear of vehicles from the left of carriageway on Variable speed limit motorways and if speeding, details of offence embedded is taken then processed through to intended notice of prosecution.

Technology: - K Band Radar

How to Locate/Detect: - Radar Detector or from a location via a GPS database

SPECs CameraSPECs

What they do?;- Face the front or rear and log every vehicle, if speeding, a photo with details of offence is taken then processed through to intended notice of prosecution. Used in motorway roadworks and record vehicles even with lane changes.

Technology: - Vehicles are logged by ANPR between 2 or more locations and an average speed is recorded.

How to Locate/Detect: - location via a GPS database.

What they do?;- Face the front or rear of vehicles and if speeding, a photo with details of offence embedded is taken then processed through to intended notice of prosecution. Can be used for speeding and/or traffic light offences.

Technology: - Piezo strips implanted in road surface to calculate light ‘jumping’ and/or speed.

Mobile LaserLaser Police Gun

What they do? : - Facing the front of vehicles (normally) the Laser ‘gun’ is aimed at target vehicle. Tripod mounted, handheld or attached to video equipment in a vehicle. The operator can work with colleagues to stop driver, or a photo with details of offence embedded is taken then processed through to intended notice of prosecution.

Technology: - Laser (LiDar)
