Defective tyres contribute to over 3% of all accidents that take place on motorways and are the most common form of fault directly related to accidents. For this reason, TPMS are becoming increasingly popular due to the numerous safety benefits they present. The main benefits offered by Tyre Pilot include:
- Reduced fuel consumption
- Extended tyre life
- Increased vehicle safety
Up to 22-wheel monitoring
The Tyre Pilot STP 116, 188, 1600 and 1800 are capable of monitoring up to 22 wheels, allowing for accurate updates for cars, caravans, trailers and commercial vehicles.
Easy to install
There are no complicated wires or special tools required to install the TPMS, and the tyre pressure sensors are designed to easily fit almost any valve stem. Simply fix the sensors and install the display unit to your windscreen.
The stand-alone display charges via the in-vehicle accessory outlet and will last approximately one month between charges during normal use.
Visual and audible alerts are provided should pressure drop or temperature rise. Updates are transmitted every five minutes and if a vehicle does not move for 10 minutes, sleep mode will be entered to conserve battery life.
The sensors all have replaceable batteries that can be changed in a couple of minutes, meaning there is no need to remove tyres.
