We are very happy to be involved in the 2017 BTCC and the opening weekend was packed with every kind of emotion for all who were there!
We are partnering the Matt Simpson team this year who will undoubtably be a team to watch with interest throughout the season. The Honda Type R is a proven car in BTCC over many years and Matt has shown that he can more than be in the mix with seasoned names in the touring car world.
Qualifying went well with Matt Gaining a 10th place on the grid, despite the heavens opening towards the end of the session.
Race 2 On sunday saw a big collision with Jason Plato in the Subaru Levorg, meaning some repair needed to Matt Honda and the Subaru retiring for the day. Matt had to re-start at the back of the grid, which meant a tough race was ahead.
Unfortunately Race 3 was short lived for the Simpson team due to another collision put the Honda off early. A frustrating end to the wekends racing.
Brands hatch did not dissapoint in hosting an action packed weekend including Porsche cup, Ginetta, F4 and Clio Cup racing which was enjoyed by many.
We are very much looking forward to the season ahead and cant wait for the next meeting!
